IWG5 Buildings - Implementation Working Group on Energy Efficiency in Buildings - has published a new white paper supporting the definition of research and development strategies on the digitalization of buildings with a 2030 horizon and an outlook toward 2050.

The paper summarizes the conclusions from the experts’ meetings, stresses the identified gaps and barriers, and proposes strategic actions for the forthcoming research roadmap in digitalization for energy-efficient and sustainable buildings. Digitalization is the enabler to making the energy transition possible, with a focus on the whole life cycle of buildings and interoperability.
